PPA 142 Color Challenge - Gorgeous Fall Colors!

Love, love, love Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie individually. And as a combo? Fabulous! They whisper the beauty of Fall to me, so it was a no-brainer to choose the stamp set Gently Falling for my card. Since the three colors are each so bold, i decided to go primarily with Limeade and use Eggpant and Pumpkin as accents. I you look closely you can see that I used the rock 'n roll method to introduce a little Pumpkin on the cut out leaves. <
I love the texture of the Woodgrain embossing folder. It is available in the Holiday mini-catalog until January 2nd. (I have my fingers crossed that it will be carried over to the next main Catalog and Idea Book. But if you love it like I do, grab it now just in case...) I was hesitant to stamp a final greeting on the card itself - I always seem to botch it a bit - especially if I really like the card. Happens to you, too? That's where the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and the Bitty Framelits come to the rescue! A perfect greeting ~ no sweat. A little linen thread and a Pumpkin button complete the fall look.
If you would like more information, please e-mail me. In the future I promise to post more details in my blog, but today I am in a wee bit of a hurry ~ I am off to hold my brand-spanking-new granddaughter Allison who arrived last night. She joins big sister Avery and cousins Addie and Ryan. Life is good

Perfectly Preserved!

Good morning! I am so glad to have you stop by my first post. Many more to come....

Today's card features the fabulous and fun set, Perfectly Preserved using Cannery Framelits for the Big Shot. So many possibilities for this set.  This is a Sneak Peek of what is coming your way in the Holiday Mini Catalog, available August 1st.

Helpful Hints:
  • Stamp the jar on the vanilla layer; place the jar framelit on the image & run it through the Big Shot.
  • Wrap a little linen thread around the lid of the cutout jar ~ tie in a bow. Set aside.
  • Adhere the vanilla layer with the cutout to the Gumball Green base.
  • Place the jar framelit into the vanilla cutout. You will know when it's properly placed - the framelit will feel snug. Run the open card through the Big Shot again to make the jar "window."
  • Tie a little ribbon on the card front, complete the inside with designer paper, adhere the jar through the "window", produce pears with the accompanying framelit, adhere; and voila! you're done!
